Painting workshop by Zehava Power

Outline
In the quest of painting looser and to improve your general painting skills (such as editing, brush confidence, and composition) we will be doing "Speed Painting" exercises.
The day will start with a one hour demo followed by a five minute "speed painting" demo
Participants will do several exercises and then start working on a "longer" piece. I'll be assisting and advising as needed.
The day will end with a critique session of all works and exercise done during the day
Please come with open mind and willingness to be pushed out of your comfort zone :) It should be fun!

Supplies
Bring your usual painting supplies you normally use.
For the exercises please bring 3-4 cheap canvases approx. 8”x10” in size (Dollar Store canvas boards are perfectly suited for this purpose)
For your other piece bring another canvas of your choice
Please bring a selection of photographs or other reference material you wish to work from.

"Halifax- Night & Day" is now on display


Dijon Curley and Zehava Power are friends and colleagues. Collaborating in a two person show, they celebrate the versatility of the medium they share: acrylic paint. The show's title, Halifax, Night & Day, not only describes the subject matter but the diverse approach the two artists use.
